History
The first meeting of people interested in forming the Broxtowe Group took place on 12th Dec 1988 at The Yew Tree Inn at Brinsley. Two walks were arranged for 15th Jan and 12th Feb 1989. The next meeting was held on 9th Jan 1989 when a programme of walks for the year was produced.
At the AGM on 16th Nov 1989 35 people attended. The Broxtowe Group's first Annual Report dated 1989 and produced by Margaret Ginger (Secretary) detailed these events.
Broxtowe Group has since grown in popularity and strength to become one of the largest groups in Nottinghamshire with almost 400 members.
