Broxtowe Ramblers

Welcome to the Broxtowe Ramblers website. Please use the signpost on the left to find your way around our site.

The Broxtowe Group of the Nottinghamshire Area of the Ramblers primarily covers the area of Broxtowe District Council. Having said that, many members reside outside Broxtowe District but walk with us because they like to. The Broxtowe Group membership hovers just under the 400 mark, making us one of the largest groups in Nottinghamshire. Everybody is welcome to enjoy a comprehensive programme of walks and social events.

We have an active walk programme with walks every Sunday and Wednesday, plus the occasional Saturday walk. We also have shorter Thursday evening walks during the summer months. Once a month we have a coach walk which allows us to travel further a field and enjoy a linear walk.

Popular annual events include a May Bank Holiday weekend away and a weeks walking holiday in the autumn. We also have an active social calendar with evening events and day trips.

The Ramblers' is Britain's biggest charity working to promote walking and improve conditions for walkers. We work to protect the network of public paths, to increase access for walkers, to protect the countryside and to promote walking for health and pleasure.
